None of my students need to be sold on the benefits of yoga. They know it works, prior to our tenure together hadn’t yet found a way to make it a steady part of their long term routine. Often, they’re caught up in the when/then game, and I bet you’ve played it to.
“When my health improves, then I’ll try yoga.”
“When life calms down, then I’ll make time for myself.”
“When I have more free time, then I will finally meditate consistently.”
In a word, no.
If you are waiting for the perfect time to give yourself the benefits of yoga, you’re going to be waiting forever because the perfect time doesn’t exist. That’s like waiting for the perfect time to get sober or leave a toxic work setting. You just have to rip the band aid off and do it.
What are the benefits of yoga, you ask?
Improved focus, clarity, core strength, circulation, trauma healing, relief from anxiety and depression, just to name a few.
It doesn’t matter if your goal is to take your practice to the next level or to get on the mat for the first time ever. By removing the common obstacles that prevent consistency and doubling down on customized support, you’ll attain your goal and then some.
What’s my specialty? Helping you develop a consistent, appropriate practice that you can take with you wherever you go. Gone are the days of being dependent on the perfect studio, perfect teacher, or perfect playlist. All you need is yourself and the willingness to commit. The rest we will figure out together.
Many people think if they aren’t doing yoga at the studio for 90 minutes 7 days per week it doesn’t count. I’m here to say that’s not true.
The nasty all or nothing mentality doesn’t serve anyone. More often than not, you end up doing nothing (but you don’t want to admit it). My job is to support you as you make yoga part of your daily life. The truth is this looks different for everyone. Let’s figure out what it looks like for you.
